Mrs. Elise MARTIN, widow of Maxime MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Thursday morning, January 29, 1981 on arrival at Stella Maris Hospital, St. Anne de Kent, after a lengthy illness. Born at Baie Ste. Anne, 62 years ago, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Madeleine [ROBICHAUD] MARTIN.
She is survived by nine sons; Victor, Yvon, Moses, Luc, William, Gil, and Michael, all of Baie Ste. Anne, Ade, of Chatham, and Maxime MARTIN, of Rexton; eight daughters: Mrs. Harvey THIBODEAU [Jeanne], of Rexton, Mrs. U. ROBICHAUD [Carmelita] and Mrs. Maurice ROBICHAUD [Della], both of Pointe Sapin, Mrs. Jacques ROBICHAUD [Henrietta], of Legaceville, Mrs. Gregory MARTIN [Rita] and Cecilia, Marie Therese and Geraldine, all of Baie Ste. Anne; two step-daughter: Mrs. Kenneth HICKS [Marceline], of Mississauga, Ont., and Mrs. Alyre DURELLE [Ida], of Baie Ste. Anne; four brothers: Angus, Adelard, Felix and Alliston MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body rested at the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where mass was celebrated Saturday morning, Jan. 31, by Rev. D. Gauthier.
Honorary pallbearers were: Maurice ROBICHAUD, Aldige ROBICHAUD, Harvey THIBODEAU, Jacques ROBICHAUD, Leonard ROBICHAUD, and Gregory MARTIN. Active pallbearers were: Antony, Albert, Frank, Charles, Vince and Marc MARTIN.
Entombment was in the church cemetery vault to await burial in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.
