Donald J. MARTIN, of 44 Pleasant Street, Chatham, formerly of Baie Ste. Anne, died Tuesday morning on arrival at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham. Born at Baie Ste. Anne 44 years ago, he was a son of Allison and Margaret [ROBICHAUD] MARTIN. He had been employed at Cassidy?s Beverages Ltd., Chatham, and later at a Co-op in Newcastle.<br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley ROY [THOMPSON]; his parents; a son, Donald MARTIN Jr., of Chatham; two step-sons: Kenneth ROY, of Toronto, and Charles ROY, of British Columbia; a daughter, Donna Lynn MARTIN, of Chatham; a step-daughter, Mrs. Michael LeBLANC [Triena], of Chatham; nine brothers: Ferdinand, of Moncton, Rene, Paul and Allison, all of Fredericton, Norbert, of Baie Ste. Anne, Gerald, of Saint John, Archie, of Montreal, Aurele, of Hamilton, Ont., and Walter, of Elliott Lake, Ont.; two sisters Mrs. Leonard DOUCET [Patricia], of Campbellton, and Mrs. Aimee LeBLANC [Aurilda], of Petitcodiac.<br /> The body rested at Maher?s Funeral Home, Chatham. Funeral mass was celebrated Thursday morning at St. Michael?s Roman Catholic Church, Chatham by Rev. P. Bagley.<br /> Pallbearers were: John BARRY, Michael LeBLANC, Bob ARSENAULT, Rick MYLES, Glen DUCHESMAN and Alphonse TURBIDE. <br /> Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Maher?s Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - July 06, 1983
