Augustin J. MARTIN, 83, of Baie Ste-Anne, passed away peacefully at his home on Fri., April 28, 2000. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret [CHAISSON] [MARTIN?]. He was a fisherman and an avid hunter. He attended St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne.<br /> He is survived by his wife, Exeline; daughters: Mrs. William DAVIDSON [Simonne], of Edmonton, AB, Mrs. Emilien DAIGLE [Claudia], Alita SAVOIE, Mrs. Hilare SAVOIE [Marie May], Mrs. Lorraine MARTIN, Mrs. Valerien MANUEL [Christianne], of Baie Ste-Anne; sons: Valmond, of Napan, Augustin Jr., Gaetan, Jean Guy, Ronald, of Baie Ste-Anne; sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth MARTIN [Wilfred], Mrs. Adelia LIRETTE [Edgar], Mrs. Exilda McINTYRE [Albert], Mrs. Albertine MARTIN [Maurice], of Baie Ste-Anne, Mrs. Laudra WATLING, of Napan; 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.<br /> He is predeceased by one daughter, Lorrianne; three sons: Walter, Albert, and François.<br /> The remains rested at the church slumber room on Sat., April 29 from 7-9, and Sun. from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Yvon Arseneault and Fr. R. LeBlanc officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers: Valmond, Augustin Jr., Gaetan, Jean-Guy, and Ronald MARTIN [sons], and Pierre DAIGLE. Honorary pallbearers were: Arthur THERIAULT, Billy Guy HITCHMAN, Dale McINTYRE, Valerie MARTIN, Gilbert MARTIN, and Bobby JOUDRY.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery.
