Ambrose J. MARTIN, 88, of Baie Ste Anne, died Friday, March 29, 1991, at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham, after a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste Anne, he was the son of the late Raphael and Charlotte [MANUEL] MARTIN. A fisherman and a mechanic, he was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 3, Chatham.<br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Mary ROBICHAUD; five sons: Phillip, of Ottawa, Ont., Florent, Benoit and Everard, all of Calgary, Alta., and Eugene, of Baie Ste Anne. Also, three daughters, Mrs. David MALLEY [Corrine], of Nelson-Miramichi, Mrs. Gerald CHIASSON [Lucie], of Baie Ste Anne, and Mrs. Andre LeBLANC [Rita], of Memramcook; three sisters, Mrs. Norbert THERIAULT [Josephine], of Baie Ste Anne, Mrs. Fred MANUEL [Alice], of Chatham, and Mrs. Edmond BREAU [Bella], of Neguac; 23 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.<br /> He was predeceased by a son, Gabriel.<br /> The body rested at Baie Ste Anne Roman Catholic Church, where funeral mass was celebrated Monday. Interment in the parish cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - April 17, 1991
