Mr. Alyre MARTIN 84, of 5745 Route 117, Baie Ste Anne, NB, passed away on Saturday, September 6 2008, at Villa Maria in Saint-Louis. Alyre was born in Baie Ste Anne, the son of the late Fred and Genevieve [MANUEL] MARTIN. <br /> He is survived by his wife, Valida MARTIN, of Baie Ste Anne, NB; sons: Reginald [Joyce] MARTIN, Magloire[Ghislaine] MARTIN, of Baie Ste Anne, Moise [Joanne] MARTIN, of Dieppe, NB; daughters: Geunvieve [Donald] CORMIER, of Notre Dame, NB, Annoncia [Claude] LaPOINTE, of Boucheville, Quebec; six grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren; brothers:, Emile [Lillian] MARTIN, of Fredericton, NB, Edmond [Mavis] MARTIN, of Maine; sisters: Catherine [Lloyd] DRISCOLL, Miramichi, Bertha [Lucien] GOGUEN, Miramichi, and Geraldine [Winston] JARDINE, Saint John, NB. <br /> He is predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer MARTIN; brother, Eloi MARTIN, Baie Ste Anne; and sisters, Eloina MARTIN, Calgary, Anna LeBELLE, Loggieville, Alida HARRIS, Fredericton, Dorilla MARTIN, Baie Ste Anne. <br /> Mr. Alyre MARTIN rested at the Baie Ste Anne Slumberoom on Monday Sept 8th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday Sept 9th at 4pm from St. Anne Church in Baie Ste Anne with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Adrien MARTIN, Patrice LaPOINTE, Etienne MARTIN, Louis SCHOFIELD, Sebastien CORMIER, and Richard CORMIER. Honorary pallbearers were: Ade MARTIN, Peter LeBELLE, Roger MARTIN, Albain DOUCETTE, Arsene TURBIDE, and Valerie PELLERIN. <br /> Interment was in the Church Cemetery.
