Mr. Yvon MANUEL, 53, of 33ch Theriault-Hachey Rd., Baie Ste-Anne, NB, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Celestin and Viola [THERIAULT] MANUEL. He was employed as a labourer with Theriault-Hachey Peatmoss, and was a member of Ste. Anne Parish in Baie Ste-Anne.<br /> He is survived by his wife, Doris [SAVOIE] MANUEL; daughter, Lisa Manuel BREAU [Dale], of Baie Ste-Anne; son, Lucas MANUEL, of Baie Ste-Anne; sisters: Rolande DOUCETTE [Everette], of Baie Ste-Anne, Genevieve FRASER [Bill], of Toronto, Ont., Clorine DeWITT [John], of Baie Ste-Anne, Ghislaine AUGER [Rick], of Baie Ste-Anne; two grandchildren: Caleb and Jade; several nieces and nephews.<br /> He was predeceased by a brother, Lucien MANUEL.<br /> His remains rested at the Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom on Tuesday, June 29, from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, June 30, at 4 p.m. from Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste-Anne, with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Shane DeWITT, Christopher JANUSAS, Isidore MAZEROLLE, Egbert SAVOIE, Laurie SAVOIE, and Leon TURBIDE. Honorary pallbearers were: Cleo CASSIE, Denis DOUCET, Donald DOUCET, Paul DOUCET, Billy FRASER, Keith MANDERVILLE, Ovil MAZEROLLE, and Stephen MEUSE.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - July 6, 2004
