Mr. James [Jim] MANUEL, son of Maxime and Suzanne[MARTIN] MANUEL, formally of Baie Ste Anne, passed away at the age of 91 on Thursday, May 24th at the Veteran Wing of Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. Mr. Jim MANUEL worked as a fisherman and served in WW II.<br /> He is survived by his wife, Virginia MANUEL; daughters: Elzea MARTIN [Clement], of Beresford, Bernadette BREAU [Jean-Paul], of Neguac, Zelma MARTIN [Marc], of Baie Sainte Anne; sons: Meldric [Normande], Adrien [Patricia], Ulysse and Gerald, all of Baie Sainte Anne; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; sister, Caroline, in Baie Sainte Anne. <br /> Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sons: Romuald and Emile; and four brothers: Edmond, Allison, David and Wilfred<br /> Resting at the Baie Sainte-Anne slumberoom in Baie Ste Anne on Saturday May 26 and on Sunday May 27. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday May 28th at 11am from St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Sainte Anne with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc Officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Marty MANUEL, Richard THERIAULT, Luc MARTIN, Stephen MARTIN, Darren MARTIN and Scott SMITH. Honorary pallbearers were; Edmond MANUEL, Ronald MANUEL, Denis MANUEL, Rudy DOUCET, Bill SCOTT, Ade SAVOIE, Arsene TURBIDE and Kenneth DOUCET. <br /> The Royal Canadian Legion Br # 3 held a Legion Service and formed a guard of honor.
