Mr. Albenie [Bede] MANUEL, 90, of 5826 Route 117 Baie Ste-Anne, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 17, 2006, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, he was the son of the late Joseph and Susanne [DUPLESSIS] MANUEL. <br /> Albenie is survived by his wife, Dorina MANUEL [MAZEROLLE], of Baie Ste-Anne; three sons: David MANUEL, Julien MANUEL, and Albert MANUEL, all of Baie Ste-Anne; seven grandchildren: Cody, Maxime, Erica, Christopher, Janie, Jamie, and Joel; and one brother, Clement MANUEL, of Ontario.<br /> Albenie is predeceased by one daughter, Theresa; brothers: Fred, Maxime, Arthur, and Celestin; sisters: Delvina THERIAULT, Obeline MARTIN, Elozia MAZEROLLE, and Almeda DUPLESSIS.<br /> Visitation was held from the Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom on Tuesday, July 18, from 2-4 and 7-9, and on Wednesday, July 19, from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, July 19, at 4 p.m. from Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert Savoie officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Albert MANUEL, David MANUEL, Julien MANUEL, Antoine MARTIN, Gerard MANUEL and Mathias DUPLESSIS. Honorary pallbearers were: Ade THERIAULT, Arsene TURBIDE, Fabien MANUEL, Adrien MANUEL, Rosaire MANUEL, Eric THERIAULT, Rosaline DURELLE, Lucie-Anne McINTYRE, Ghislaine AUGER, Angela MEUSE, Geraldine MARTIN and Ovil MAZEROLLE.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB. Telephone 773-4321.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - July 24, 2006
