Mrs. Domitille M. ALLAIN, 85, widow of the late Levi ALLAIN, of the Chaplin Island Road, died Saturday, October 3, 1992, at Stella Maris Hospital in Ste Anne de Kent, after a lengthy illness. Born in Aldouane, Kent County, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (DAIGLE) DAIGLE and attended St. Mary s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle, where she had been housekeeper for Monseigneur McLaughlin, for 25 years, and worked another 15 years at the Miramichi Hospital before retiring. <br /> <br /> She is survived by six step-daughters: Mrs. Mona DUPRE and Mrs. Emile BRIDEAU (Marie), both of Montreal, Mrs. Carl MANDERSON (Lelia), of Newcastle, Yvonne ALLAIN, of Moncton, Mrs. James WARREN (Barbara), of Chaplin Island Road, and Shirley VIENNEAU, of Fredericton; four step-sons: Louis and Anthony, both of Newcastle, Eric, of Moncton, and Jack, of Woodstock; two sisters: Mrs. Alida LeBLANC and Mrs. Estelle BLANCHARD, both of St. Louis de Kent; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> The body rested at Adams Funeral Home, Newcastle. The funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, with Father Douglas McNeil, officiating. St. Marys Choir offered the special music. <br /> <br /> Pallbearers were: George, Albert, Alcid and Raymond ALLAIN, Yvon BLANCHARD and Kenny MURPHY. <br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - October 14, 1992
