Mrs. Addie Mable [MacPHERSON] MacKAY, of 154 Reid Street, Moncton, formerly of Chatham, NB, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005, at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, at the age of 70. Born in Boom Road, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ethel CAIN MacPHERSON. She was a foster parent, member of Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens Club, and attended United Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Debbie NOEL, Tina MacKAY [Grant], Carol MacKAY, all of Moncton; two sons: Brian MacKAY [Gisele], and Malcolm MacKAY, both of Moncton; one brother, James MacPHERSON, of Saint John; nine grandchildren: Linda, Ronika, April, Brian, Melissa, Jamie, Amanda, Jennifer and Jessica; six great-grandchildren: Leah, Britney, Taylor, Douglas Jordan [D.J.], Trent and Quentin.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred [Jack] MacKAY.
Rested at Davidsons Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, 7-9 and Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service was held Sunday at 3 pm from the FH Chapel, with Pastor Cecil Simms officiating. Organist was Shirley Estey. Hymns were: Amazing Grace, In The Garden, and Sweet By and By. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements were in care of Davidsons Funeral Home [622-7464].
