Mr. J.J. Alyre ALLAIN, husband of the late Marceline [PLOURDE] ALLAIN, of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at his late residence. Born in St. Charles, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Henriette (CASSIE) ALLAIN. He was retired from Domtar, and was a member of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church.<br /> <br /> Survived by two daughters: Marie McLEAN (Ned), of Miramichi, Jacqueline ALLAIN, of Vancouver, BC; two sons: Alcide (Gemma), of Miramichi, Raymond (Margare)], of Cold Water, ON; two sisters: Herculine RICHARD (Fidele), of Richibucto, Lorraine ALLAIN, of St. Charles, NB; brothers: Antoine ALLAIN, of St. Louis, NB, Joseph ALLAIN, of St. Louis, NB; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.<br /> <br /> He is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marceline in 1985; brothers and sisters: Levain, Alice, Pauline, Edgar, Marie, Alma and Yvonisse.<br /> <br /> Mr. ALLAIN rested at Davidsons Funeral Home with visitation on Thurs. and Fri. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 21, from St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Arsenault officiating. Organist and soloist, Jacqueline ALLAIN, rendered: Eye Has Not Seen, We Give You Thanks, Let Us Break Bread Together, Ave Maria, Songs of the Angels, and Blest Are They. Eulogy was by Father Joseph Arsenault. Readings by Lorna UNDERHILLl, Diane OSHEA, and daughter, Jacqueline ALLAIN. Donations to Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home or NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.<br /> <br /> Active pallbearers were: Albert ALLAIN, George ALLAIN, Louis ALLAIN, Eric ALLAIN, Danny ARSENAULT, and Frank ROBICHAUD.<br /> <br /> Burial will be in St. Marys RC Cemetery in the spring.
