Mrs. Edith MacDONALD, wife of Paul R. MacDONALD, of 100 Hennessy Rd., Moncton, died Saturday, July 03, 1982 at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Newcastle, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian [MacALLISTER] KEATING. She was a member of St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, and of the Ladies Society of the church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Ronald SEYMOUR [Garie] and Mrs. Douglas WRAY [Kate], both of Toronto, Mrs. Michael GEBARA [Kimberley] and Paula, both of Ottawa, Mrs. Terry TAIT [Nora], of Bathurst; one son, Scott, at home; one brother, Jackie KEATING, of Saint John; one sister, Mrs. Maudie STEWART, of Montreal; and five grandchildren.
The body rested at Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham. Funeral mass was concelebrated Tuesday morning, July 6 at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church by Rev. Bernard Broderick, Rev. Brian KEATING [nephew], Rev. John Grattan and Msgr. R. M. Hickey. Readings were by James MacDonald. Rev. Peter Bagley was choir director and soloists were Joan Leger and Kevin Driscoll.
Pallbearers were: Greg MacDONALD, Mark MacDONALD, Terry TAIT, Edward STARETT, Tom SCOTT and Donald WHITTY. Honorary pallbearers were: Joseph DOBBELSTEYN, James MacDONALD, Richard WALSH, John HAY, Edward LEGGATT and Roger CARROLL.
Interment took place in St. Michaels Cemetery with prayers at the grave by Father KEATING assisted by Father Broderick.
