The death of Agapit ALLAIN, of Neguac, occurred at Miramichi Hospital on Friday, April 6 following a brief illness. Born in Neguac 82 years ago, he was a son of the late Gustave and Olive (MALLEY) ALLAIN. <br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Sophie SAVOIE; two daughters: Mrs. Herman MURPHY (Diana), of Chatham, and Mrs. Fred ARSENAULT (Aurore), of Lewisville; two sons: Aquila, of Toronto, and Euclide, of Douglastown; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.<br /> <br /> The body rested at Neguac Slumber Room. Funeral mass was celebrated Monday at St. Bernards Church, Neguac by Rev. A. Legere assisted by Rev. T.J. McKendy. The body was placed in the Church vault for burial in the cemetery later in the spring.<br /> <br /> Attending the funeral from a distance were relatives and friends from Toronto, Montreal, Fredericton, Moncton, Lewisville, Richibucto, Edmundston, Caraquet, Tracadie, Newcastle, Chatham, Chatham Head, Loggieville, Barryville and Sheila.<br /> <br /> Source: North Shore Leader - April 12, 1973
