Edgar LIRETTE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Sunday, January 9, 1983 at Hotel Dieu Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 62 years ago, he was a son of the late Albert and Bertha [McINTYRE] LIRETTE. He was a fisherman by trade.<br /> Survived by his wife, the former Adelia MARTIN; five sons: Abel, Francois, Jean-Marie and Charles, all of Baie Ste. Anne, Emilien, Neguac; eight daughters: Mrs. Florentine MERSEREAU, Mrs. Ferdinand DAIGLE [Andrea], Mrs. Alfred SAVOIE [Gilberte], Mrs. Wilbert MARTIN [Rose Mary], Rachelle, Marielle, Bertha, Elda, all of Baie Ste. Anne; three brothers: Albert, of Moncton; William, of Buctouche; Adolphe, of Baie Ste. Anne; four sisters: Mrs. Emma MARTIN, Mrs. Augustine MARTIN [Exeline], Mrs. Ulysses MAZEROLLE [Jeannine], Mrs. Prosper MANUEL [Dorilla], all of Baie Ste. Anne. <br /> The body rested at the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 11 by rev. D. Gauthier.<br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Jacques LIRETTE, Henri MARTIN, Michael MAZEROLLE, Dale MCINTYRE, Augustin MARTIN, and Gaetan MANUEL. Active pallbearers were: Abel, Emilien, Jean-Marie, Francois, Charles and Adolphe LIRETTE.<br /> Arrangements were under the direction of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Miramichi Weekend - January 21, 1983
