Mrs. Yvonne LAVOIE, of Rogersville, passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at the age of 84. Born in Causapscal, PQ, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura [LAGACE] GAUDET. She was a homemaker, and attended St. François de Sales Roman Catholic Church, in Rogersville. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and Charismatique.
Survived by two daughters: Antoinette RICHARD [Gerald], of Rogersville, Beatrice MAILLET [André], of Waltham, Mass.; three sons: Rhéal [Therese], of Montreal, Calixte [Nicole], of Mascouche, Laurie, of Rogersville; 2 sisters: Rita MARTIN, of Rogersville, Beatrice LEGERE, of Toronto; twobrothers; Emile [Mariette], of Moncton, Calixte [Doreen], Rogersville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Willie; one sister, Louise; and brothers, Leo-Pold and Henri, predeceased her.
The family received visitors at St. François de Sales RC Church Slumber Room in Rogersville, on Wed., Jan. 8 and Thursday, Jan. 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 10, at St. François de Sales Roman Catholic Church, in Rogersville, at 11 a.m., with Father Denis Belliveau officiating.
Active pallbearers were: France MAILLET, Michael MAILLET, Pierre LAVOIE, Henri MARTIN, Ricky GAUDET and Maurice GAUDET.
Cross bearer was Angela GAUDET. David LAOIE read. Burial in the church cemetery later in the spring. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The funeral arrangements were in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street.
