Mrs. Genevieve M. KERR, 75, of 245 Wellington St., Chatham, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1986 at HDH after a short illness. Born in Newcastle, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia [FORAN] FITZGERALD. She was a member of St. Michaels CWL. A former school teacher, she was a member of the Miramichi Retired Teachers Assoc. and a member of Santa Maria Chapter of the Knights of Colombus.<br /> She is survived by her husband, former Chatham Mayor Fraser KERR; two sons: John and Bill, both of Chatham; four daughters: Mrs. Bernard RICHARD [Julie] and Mrs. Donald WRIGLEY [Mary Jane], both of Chatham, and Miss Francis KERR, at home, and Miss Irene KERR, of Bathurst; a sister, Miss Elizabeth FITZGERALD, of Newcastle; and nine grandchildren.<br /> The body rested at Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham. Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 11 am at St. Michaels RC Church, Chatham. Burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.<br /> Source: Miramichi Weekend - January 9, 1987
