Mrs. Marie [Wheatie] KEOUGHAN, 96, of Riverglade Nursing Home, formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Marie was born in Chatham, the daughter of the late William CARROLL and Susan Emma CREAMER. She was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of St. Michaels CWL.<br /> She is survived by her sister, Clare CARROLL, of Fredericton, and four grandchildren: Karen<br /> WALLS [Billy], of Miramichi, Kim KEOUGHAN, of Black Creek, Comax, BC, Tracy THIBODEAU, of Bathurst, Kevin KEOUGHAN [Donna], of Miramichi; and great-grandchildren: Scott, Max, Amanda, Evan, and Sarah.<br /> She is predeceased by her husband, Roy Alexander KEOUGHAN; and son, Keith Kenneth KEOUGHAN; and brothers: Noonan, Benson, Rodge; and sister, Ethel.<br /> There was no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, May 26, at 10 am from St. Michaels Basilica, with Fr. John Fraser officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Kevin KEOUGHAN, Max WALLS, Greg REYNOLDS, Bill CARROLL, Mark KANE, and Bill WALLS.<br /> Interment was in St. Michaels Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB. Telephone 773-4321.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - May 31, 2006
