The death of Martha J. KELLEY occurred at Bestview Lodge, Oshawa, Ont. on Dec. 24, 1980. Born on March 3, 1892, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles McKINLEY, Upper Nelson, and the last surviving member of her family. She attended Provincial Normal School and taught in several schools in the province.<br /> Mrs. KELLEY was predeceased by her husband, Douglas, in 1925; and son in 1923.<br /> She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Donald McKINNON [Enid], of Scarboro, and Mrs. W.H. GULLISON [Phyllis], of Oshawa, Ont; three grandchildren: Mrs. S. MANKIEWICZ [Marilyn], of Oshawa, Richard GULLISON, of Alberta, and Martha Lee McKINNON, of Toronto; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.<br /> Funeral services were held at Tuttle Bras Chapel in Moncton on December 30 and the Rev. Erie King officiated. Organ music was played by Mr. G. McFarlane who sang: Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and Unto the Hills. Entombment was in Elmwood Cemetery vault and burial will take place in the spring.<br /> Source: Miramichi Weekend - February 6, 1981
