Roger Louis JOHNSON, 70, of Baie Ste-Anne, NB, passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at his residence. Born in St. Louis de Kent Co., he was the son of the late Benoli JOHNSON and Sadie BABINEAU. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Goodyear Co. in Toronto, retired in 1986 and moved to Baie Ste-Anne to stay. He was a member of Ste. Anne Parish in Baie Ste-Anne. Roger was a hard worker, and devoted and loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Victorine [MARTIN]; daughter, Murielle [Derek MYATT]; and son, Henri [Tammy WHITEWICK], of Mississauga, ON; grandson, Dustin; five brothers: Eric [Elva], of Rexton, Elmo [Noel], of Bouctouche, Aldrien [Mary], of Richibucto, Ronald [Marjorie], of Mississauga, ON, Omer, of ON; his two sisters, Diana [Joe] THIBEDEAU and Jeannette [Clarence DAIGLE], of Aldouane; and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was predeceased by four brothers: Romeo, Albert, Edgar, and Adelard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday and Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Normand Drisdelle officiating.
Active pallbearers were: Ronald MANUEL, Jean Charles PHANEUF, Jean MARTIN, Elmo JOHNSON, Elzear MARTIN, and Donald JOHNSON. Honorary pallbearers were: Fran?ois ROBICHAUD, Ade MARTIN, Henri S. MARTIN, Albert MARTIN, Clifford THERIAULT, and Urban McINTYRE. The Royal Canadian Legion formed a guard of honor.
Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home. Telephone 773-4321.
