Cpt. Preston J. JIMMO, 79, of Ferry Road, Douglastown, died Friday, May 22, 1992, at the Chaleur General Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Escuminac, he was a son of the late Walter and Ida [PRESTON] JIMMO. He was captain of a ferry boat and worked for the Department of Highways and Public Works. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas. He attended All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Millbank.<br /> He is survived by one son, John, of Saint John; two daughters: Mrs. Andy BEDARD [Dorothea] and Mrs. Harry HANSEN [Mona], both of Montreal; one brother, Blair, of Oshawa, Ont.; two sisters, Annie and Helen, both of Whitby, Ont.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.<br /> He was predeceased by his wife, Annie [OLEARY] JIMMO.<br /> The body rested at Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham. Funeral mass was celebrated Monday at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Millbank. Interment in the church cemetery. <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - May 27, 1992
