Alvin Michael JIMMO passed away peacefully at Elisabeth Bruy?re Palliative Care Centre in Ottawa, on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, with his wife, Lillian GILLIS, and his family at his side. He was the son of the late, Michael JIMMO and Matilda MARTIN, of Escuminac, NB, and father to: Vivian [Tijs BELLAAR-SPRUYT], Elizabeth [late Darryl ONEILL], Frank [Leona], BARRY, Bev [Rose], Harold [Sharon], and Wally [Kim]; grandpa to: David, Derek, Felicia, Matthew, Ian, Sarah, Eric, Erin, Andrew, Shawn, and Nicholas; and great-grandfather to: Kylie and Mackenzie; survived by his sister, Rev. Sr. Beatrice JIMMO, of Kingston, Ontario.<br /> He was a veteran, serving in WW II, 1941-1945, with 1st division Italy, Holland and Germany, and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 632, Orleans.<br /> Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St.Joseph Blvd., Orleans, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Thursday to Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Notre-Dame Cemetery.
