Mr. Raymond Joseph Frederick JARDINE, husband of Simonne [LeBRETON] JARDINE, of 590 Parker Road, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 66. Born in Curtis Road, NB, he was the son of the late Lorne and Isabell [LUMSDEN] JARDINE. He was a retired labourer and a member of Maple Glen United Church.
Besides his wife, Simonne, he is survived by three daughters: Helen Marie BURGIELEWICZ [Danny], of East Hampton, Mass., USA, Sharon JARDINE, of Malcolm, Florida, Sheila JARDINE, of South Hadley, USA; two sons: David JARDINE, of East Hampton, Mass., USA, Ralph JARDINE, of USA; three sisters: Emaline MATCHETT, of Renous, Vera RICHARD [Edward], of C.I. Road, Mary Emma TARR [Herbert], of Miramichi; six brothers: Robert [Chris], of Maple Glen, Harold [Irene], of Maple Glen, Wilfred, of Nelson, Clifford [Myrtle], of Thunder Bay, ON, Winston [Gladys], of Maple Glen, Colin [Eunice], of Denmark, Maine; and one grandson, Jonathan JARDINE.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Helen HATT; three brothers: Elwin, Allan, and Rufus.
Rested at Davidsons Funeral Home on Friday. The funeral service was held Saturday, October 30, from the FH Chapel, with Rev. Sandrabelle Rogers officiating. Organist was Shirley Estey. Hymns were: Amazing Grace and In The Garden. A poem was read by his daughter, Helen Marie BURGIELEWICZ.
Active pallbearers were: Guy JARDINE, Gerard McEVOY, Albert RICHARD, Peter CORT, David SANTRY, and Mark LeBRETON. Honorary pallbearers were: Eddy RICHARD, Herbert TARR, Fred STREET, and Freddy MacLEOD.
Burial followed in Maple Glen Cemetery. Donations to Diabetes Association, Maple Glen United Church would be appreciated. Arrangements were in care of Davidsons Funeral Home [622-7464]
