Mildred Henderson AHEARN, wife of John AHEARN, of Briarlea Drive, Moncton, and formerly of Napan, passed away at her residence, on Friday, November 20, 2009, at the age of 85. Born in Center Napan, on January 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Amy (HENDERSON) MacKNIGHT. She was a teacher by profession and a member of the N.B. Retired Teachers Assoc. She was an adherent of Carmel United Church, Napan.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gladys DICKSON (Harold), of Port Alberni, BC; one nephew, Brian DICKSON, of Vancouver, BC; one sister-in-law, Mildred MacKNIGHT, of Miramichi.
She was predeceased by one brother, William MacKNIGHT.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd. on Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 2 pm, conducted by Dean Lawrence, D.L.M. FUNERAL -
Visitation was at the funeral home on Monday. The funeral service was held from St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 2 pm, conducted by Dean Lawrence. The scripture was read by Mildred MacKNIGHT. Music was provided by William Sweezey, and the hymns were: Because He Lives and Here I Am Lord.
The pallbearers were: Henry WILSON, James WILSON, Roland TAYLOR, Lloyd McKNIGHT, Murray MacNAUGHTON, William SWEEZEY.
Interment was in the Black River Community Cemetery.
