Mrs. Winnifred FLEMMING [KENNEDY], formerly of Juniper, passed away at River View Manor, Bath, July 27, 2011 at the age of 96. Born March 12, 1915 to the late Howard and Mabel [ANDERSON] KENNEDY of Kirkland, NB, one of five children. <br /> Win was predeceased by her husband, Marvin, in 2000; her sister Marion; and brothers, John and Sam. <br /> She will be remembered by her son, Robert FLEMMING [Connie]; her daughter, Mary Jean SCOTT [Paul]; her four grandchildren: Larry [Nancy] FLEMMING, Jonathon FLEMMING, Nancy [Alex] VALDEZ and Heather [Paul] SWANSTON; her sister, Doris SCOTT; her brother-in-law, Jay [Alice] FLEMING, and many nephews and nieces. She took great pleasure from hearing about her three great-grandchildren. <br /> Winnifred was a teacher in her early years and raised her son while Marvin served overseas. She enjoyed gardening and crafts and was well known for her needlework. She devoted her life to her family and friends with a positive outlook and a ready wit. Winnifred and her friend Jean Sweet enjoyed endless hours of Skipbo. <br /> Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville - Bristol from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm from Faith Memorial United Church. Rev. Elaine Strawbridge will officiate.
