John Gerald ADAIR passed away on Sat., November 15, 2003 at Chatham, ON. He had been receiving treatment for cancer. Born on October 9, 1923 in Newcastle, NB, he graduated from Harkins High School in 1940, served two years in the Canadian Army, and was hired by Ford of Canada in 1942 as a General Labour employee. He attended classes at the University of Windsor, Wayne State University, and Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan. He retired in 1983, at which time he was Supervisor of Labour Relations in the Windsor plants of Ford Canada. <br /> <br /> John is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Laurence (YANCE); brother, Sterling, of Windsor, ON; half-brother, Freddie McKAY, of Newcastle (now Miramichi Bay), NB; half-brother, James McKAY; and half-sister, Frances, both of Vancouver, BC; also brother-in-law, Jacques LEVESQUE; sisters-in-law: Jennie MULHERIN, Aline MARTIN, and Gerry FOURNIER, all of Edmundston, NB; and many nieces and nephews in ON and NB. <br /> <br /> Private cremation.
