Iva M. AGNEW, of Harcourt, passed away peacefully following a brief illness at her residence, on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the age of 72 years. Born in Tabusintac, NB, Nov. 19, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorinda (HARDING). Iva was a member of the teaching profession and retired from Harcourt School. She was a member of St. Matthews Anglican Church, Harcourt, and the Monday Night Bible Study. She was very active in her community and church, and received the Queens Jubilee Medal in 2003. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 75. Iva enjoyed her family, friends, and her Thursday night card group.<br /> <br /> She is survived by daughter, Wanda (Derek) PRICE, of Rexton; four sons: Paul (Sandra), of Riverview, Glenn (Debbie), of Harcourt,Ross (Connie), of Claireville, Joe (Heather), of Milford, NS; grandchildren: Chris (Michelle) AGNEW, Tracy (Tim) BARTER, all of Riverview, Trina (Doug) PERKINS, of Havelock, Jessie, Chelsey A, Drew, Cleve, Tanner, and Calder AGNEW, all of Claireville, and Dylon AGNEW, of Milford, NS, and great-grandchildren: Zachary, Ethan, Quinlyn, Sophie; sisters: Roberta (Blair) MURRAY, of Fredericton, Verna (Jim) FLEIGER, of Miramichi, Ernestine (Eugene) CLEMENTI, of ON, Eva (Eric) JUHOLA, of ON, Vera (Budd) TAYLOR, of Miramichi, Darlene (Lee) MURRAY, of Tabusintac, Lenore (Don) HARRIS, of Burnt Church, and Patricia HARDING, of Miramichi; brother, Boyd (Debbie) HARDING, Plaster Rock; several nieces & nephews.<br /> <br /> Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Wilfred Tupper AGNEW, in 2000; a brother, Budd HARDING, in 1973; and a sister, Winnifred McALLISTER, in 2004.<br /> <br /> Visitation at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, April 2. Funeral service at the FH Chapel, Moncton, on Sat., April 3, at 1 pm, Rev. John Pearce officiating. The Ladies Auxiliary of Branch No. 75 held a service Friday evening, April 2, at 6:45 pm. Interment in Presbyterian Cemetery, Harcourt, NB in the spring. Donations to St. Matthews Church Building Fund, c/o 7787 Route 126, Harcourt, NB E4T 2Y9 appreciated. <br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - April 6, 2004
