Ada [MacKENZIE] FAIRBORN passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Georgetown Hospital. Ada, born in Tabusintac on December 27, 1925, was the daughter of the late John and Bessie MacKENZIE, wife of the late Colin McNEIL and the late Bert FAIRBORN.<br /> She is survived by her three daughters: Judy [Bill] WILSON, Sandra McNEIL and Patricia McNEIL; and sisters, Una SHAND [Joe] and Carolyn [Sam] SHIRLEY. <br /> She was predeceased by her daughter, Debbie; son, Steven; and three brothers, Marty, Merlin and Lorne.<br /> Friends were received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home in Georgetown on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 12-1. A beautiful tribute to Ada followed in the chapel at 1:00 officated by Rev. Paul Ivany who researched Tabusintac and St. Andrews United and in his message took us DOWN HOME where Ada loved to visit.<br /> Pallbearers were: Danny BONNETT, Vic LOVELL, John MacKENZIE, Sam SHIRLEY and Bill WILSON. <br /> Interment was in Highland Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions were given to the Kidney Foundation and Region 7 Palliative Care Unit.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - November 19, 2007
