Mr. Wilfred Thomas ADAMS, of Black River Bridge, passed away on arrival at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, early Saturday morning, September 30, 2006, at the age of 58. Born in Chatham, on August 30, 1948, he was the son of Mildred (MacDOUGALL) and the late Thomas I. ADAMS. He was an industrial and diesel mechanic by trade. He was a member of St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his mother, of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi; one daughter, Charla ADAMS, of Kitchener, ON; one son, Rodi ADAMS, of Woodstock, ON; three sisters: Doris TAYLOR (Dawson), of Black River Bridge, Vera JAMES (David), of Miramichi, Della O'NEILL (John), of Miramichi Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> He was predeceased by his father, Thomas ADAMS.<br /> <br /> Visiting was held at the funeral home on Monday. The funeral service was held from St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge, on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at 2 pm,<br /> conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. The organist was Mrs. June Ross and the choir anthem was: In The Bulb There Is A Flower.<br /> <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Doug WILLISTON, Neil FOWLIE, Roscoe MAULT, Sandy MacDONALD, Reg MacDONALD, Alden RICHARDSON, Donald LAMKEY, Hugh GODFREY, Darren TAYLOR. Active pallbearers were: Rosario MARTIN, Anerd MacDONALD, Kenneth ADAMS, Kenneth MORAN, Reg FOWLIE, Randy FOWLIE. <br /> <br /> Interment was in the Black River Community Cemetery.<br /> Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone 773-3492. www.adamsfh.ca<br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - October 6, 2006
