Mr. Phelibert DUPLESSIS, 64, of Eel River Road, Baie Ste-Anne, NB, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Miramichi Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Joseph and Barbara [MAZEROLLE] DUPLESSIS. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.<br /> He is survived by his wife, Almeda [MARTIN] DUPLESSIS; a step-son, Louis, at home; one sister, Rita ADAMS, of Miramichi; brothers: Mathias, of Miramichi; Edgar, Edward, Robert, and Alphonse, of Baie Ste-Anne; and several nieces and nephews.<br /> He is predeceased by brothers: Louis, Lawrence, Lionel, and François.<br /> The remains rested at Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom, Sun., Mon. and Tues. from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral. Mass of Christian Burial held at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 4 p.m., Fr. Norman Drisdelle officiating. The Golden Age Club formed an honor guard.<br /> Active pallbearers: Adrien and Steven McINTYRE, Thomas DUPLESSIS, Paul-Emile, Vincent, and Pierre MAZEROLLE. Honorary pallbearers were: Gelas, Alfred, and Leo THERIAULT, Quentin SIPPLEY, Jim CHIASSON, and Wilbert CARROLL.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - August 29, 2002
