Almeda DUPLESSIS, wife of the late Phelibert DUPLESSIS, of Baie Ste Anne, NB, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2006, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 77. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre MARTIN and Suzanne DUPLESSIS. <br /> Almeda is survived by one son, Louis MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne, NB; brothers: Albenie MANUEL [Dorina], of Baie Ste. Anne, NB, Clement MANUEL [Elizbeth], of Ontario; and many nieces and nephews.<br /> She was predeceased by her brothers: Isidore MARTIN, Wilfred MARTIN, John MANUEL, Wilfred MANUEL, Maximin MANUEL, Arthur MANUEL, Celestin MANUEL; sisters: Yvette MARTIN, Obeline MARTIN, Elozia MAZEROLLE and Delvina THERIAULT.<br /> Visitation at the Baie Ste. Anne Slumberoom on Sunday, April 23 and Monday, April 24 from 9-11. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, April 24 at 11 am from Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste. Anne, with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Louis MARTIN, Moise MARTIN, Albert MANUEL, Isidore MAZEROLLE, Quentin SIPPLEY and Ernest THERIAULT. Honorary pallbearers were: Mathias DUPLESSIS, Fabien MANUEL, Ovile MAZEROLLE, Dominique THERIAULT, Eric THERIAULT and Hector THERIAULT.<br /> The Golden Age Club formed a Guard of Honor. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery later in the spring. Funeral arrangments were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB.
