Mr. Walter Edwin ADAMS, husband of the late Helen [TAYLOR] ADAMS, of Sunset Ave, formerly of Strathadam, passed away Friday evening, June 1st at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88. Born in Strathadam NB, he was the son of the late Arnold and Caroline (SOBEY) ADAMS. He was a retired carpenter for Forest Construction Ltd, member of St. Philips United Church, Whitney, member of Northumberland Lodge # 17 F & AM, member of Island View Senior Citizens, Sunny Corner.
He is survived by two daughters: Joyce JOHNSON, of Strathadam, and Marjorie LYNCH (Paul), of Moncton; one son, Arnold (Kathy), of Blackville; one sister, Mrs. Janie MacCALLUM, of Acton ON; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friend, Ruby OROURKE.
Besides his parents and his wife, Helen; he was predeceased by one daughter, Jean MILLS; four sisters: Audrey URQUHART, Norma McSWAIN, Emma ADAMS and Roberta KEATING.
Resting at Davidsons Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, June 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 4th at 2 pm from the FH Chapel. Burial will follow in the family plot of St. Philips United Church Cemetery, Whitney. Donations to St. Philips United Church, Region 7 Hospital Foundation [Mammogram] would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of Davidsons Funeral Home [622-7464]
