Mrs. Myrtle DOUCET, age 73, of 13 Morse St., St. Margarets, NB, passed away Monday, February 17, 2003 at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anastaise [GUIMOND] JIMMO. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Survived by sons: Leo DOUCETTE [Rita]; Maxwell DOUCETTE [Phyllis], both of Plaster Rock; Darrell DOUCETT [Shirley], of Baie Ste-Anne; daughters: Lillian DOUCETTE [Ron BOUCHER], of Moncton; Joyce MARTIN [Reginald], of Baie Ste-Anne; Jo-ann McINTYRE [Kenneth ALLAIN], of St. Margarets; brothers: Donald JIMMO, of Black River; sisters: Mabel ALLAIN, of Neguac; Alice ALBERT, of Neguac; Rita MANUEL [Clement], of Plaster Rock; Ethel RUSSELL [Leonard], of Black River; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband, Lawson DOUCET; and son, Joseph DOUCET.
The remains rested at Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom on Mon. and Tues.. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne, NB, on Wed., Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., with Fr. Drisdelle officiating.
Active pallbearers were: Darrell DOUCETT, Terry DOUCETTE, Ronald BOUCHER, Wayne MOUTAIN, David TOMPKINS, and Nick DOUCET. Honorary pallbearers were: Maxwell DOUCETTE, Kenneth ALLAIN, Jack DOUCET, Andy McINTYRE, Romeo ALLAIN, Reginald MARTIN, Danika DOUCETTE.
Interment was in Ste. Anne Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi.
