Joseph Byron DOUCET, 47, of 5887 Route 117, Baie Ste-Anne, NB, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 1999, at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Lawson DOUCET and Myrtle JIMMO. He was a carpenter, and attended the Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons: Nicholas and Eddy, both of Baie Ste-Anne; three brothers: Leo, of Plaster Rock, Maxwell, of Buctouche, Darrell, of Baie Ste-Anne; three sisters: Mrs. Lillian MUISE, of Moncton, Mrs. Joyce MARTIN [Reginald], of Baie Ste-Anne, and Mrs. Joanne McINTYRE, of St. Margarets.
The remains rested at the slumber room on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 7-9 and Friday, Sept. 24, from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m., with Fr. Drisdelle officiating.
Active pallbearers were: Leo DOUCET, Maxwell DOUCET, Darrel DOUCET, Nicholas DOUCET, Kenneth ALLAIN, and Buff DURELLE. Honorary pallbearers were: Felix MARTIN, Eddy DOUCET, Ronnie DOUCET, Maxime DOUCET, Tony MARTIN, Reginald MARTIN, Ronald ALLAIN, and Daniel DOUCET.
Interment in the church cemetery in Baie Ste-Anne. Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.
