Mrs. Melvina (Millie) ADAMS, widow of Walter ADAMS, Newcastle, died Saturday, July 13, 1985 at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, Chatham after a lengthy illness. Born in North Esk 89 years ago, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Alice (WALTMAN) FORSYTH. She was a member of St. James and St. John United Church, Newcastle and a life member of both St. Phillips and St. James and St. John UCW.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norris A. GILKS (Glenna), of MacTIER, ON; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Annie, died previously.
The body rested at Bell's Funeral Service, Newcastle, from where the funeral service was held Tuesday, July 16. Burial was in the Miramichi Cemetery.

FUNERAL -
Funeral service for Mrs. Melvina (Millie) ADAMS was held on Tuesday, July 16 from Bells Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. D. F. Hoddinott officiating, assisted by Rev. Canon Philip Williston. The organist, Eva Johnson, supplied special music.
The pallbearers were: Simon HOGAN, Walter ADAMS Jr., Boyd ALLISON, Allen SHERRARD, Ralph GLOVER and Jim CARR.
Interment was in Miramichi Cemetery, Newcastle. Arrangements were in the care of Bells Funeral Service, Newcastle.
