The death of Miss Ann Anderson AITKEN, sister of Lord BEAVERBROOK occurred at the family homestead here on Saturday. She had been an invalid in recent years and a heart ailment followed an attack of pneumonia last fall.<br /> <br /> The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon. It was said doubtful that Lord BEAVERBROOK, lease-lend co-ordinator in the United States, would be able to attend the services.<br /> <br /> She is survived by three other brothers, J. M. AITKEN of Toronto, Dr. Arthur AITKEN of Lockport, NY and A. A. AITKEN of Montreal; three sisters, Mrs. Douglas RAMSAY of Scotland, Mrs. William STIKNEY of London and Mrs. Horatio WALKER of Victoria.<br /> <br /> Miss AITKEN was born in Ontario, a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. William AITKEN. After the outbreak of War she moved here from England with her nieces, Mrs. Eric LLOYD and Mrs. Thomson McLINTOCK.<br /> <br /> Rev. Dr. Genge, pastor of the Chatham and Newcastle Presbyterian Churches, will conduct the funeral service which will be held at 2 o’clock after which interment will be made in St. James Cemetery.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - May 01, 1942
