Surrounded by the love of his family at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 79, passed away peacefully, Mr. Yvon DOUCET, husband of Bernice RUSSELL. He lived in Barryville. Born on November 04, 1944, he was the son of the late Benoit "Ben" DOUCET and the late Stella ROUSSELLE.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by three daughters, Denise (Michel D’ASTOUS), Dawn CHISHLOM and Michelle DOUCET (Sylvio SAVOIE); five grandchildren: Samantha (Kyle), Danielle (Marc), Danika, Travis (Alexandra) and Gino; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Harleigh and Cataleya; five sisters: Theresa (late Peter), Yvette, Ida (late Charles), Bernadette (Archie) and Jeannette (Ken); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Venance (late Catherine), Ellison (Joanne), Blake (Janice), Annette (late Donald), Irène (late Léo), Sherry (late Benoît) and Angela (late Robert); three godchildren, Chris, Lynn and Russell; as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by six sisters: Rita (Robert), Marguerite (Charles), Alphonsina (Harry), Catherine, Dorina (Eldon) and Laura (Alvin); five brothers: Raymond, Edgar (Janet), Donald, Léo and Benoît; and a brother-in-law, Réginald SAVOIE.
The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 7 pm, on Sunday, November 3rd, at the Maison Robichaud & Fils, 50 Otho Street, in Neguac. The funeral will be celebrated at the Saint-Bernard Church in Neguac, on Monday, November 4th, at 2 pm. Visiting hours: Sunday, November 3rd, from 7 pm to 9 pm, and Monday, November 4th, from noon to 1:45 pm.
