The death of Mrs. Norma Agnes YOUNG wife of the late Harry YOUNG of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Cassilis, NB, occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 91. Born in Red Bank, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stanford and Emeline (BRYENTON) McKIBBON. Norma was a member of St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB and starting working in the family business at McKibbons Store, Red Bank, NB when she was very young until she went to work at Kent Shoe Store where she retired from in 1993.<br /> <br /> Norma is survived by one daughter, Paulette ELLIS (Bob) of Cassilis, NB; one son, Edwin (Phyllis) of Miramichi, NB; three sisters, Louise SMALL of Amherst, NS, Ruth SILLIKER and Arlene SILLIKER both of Lyttleton, NB; one brother, Ned (Patsy) of Lower Derby, NB; four grandchildren: Chris YOUNG (Jennifer), Tracey SAVOY (Sheldon), Tanya AUGUSTINE (Adam) and Missy BUTLER (Rob); great-grandchildren: Colton BUTLER, Riley BUTLER, Ethan AUGUSTINE, Joe AUGUSTINE, Katie AUGUSTINE, Madison YOUNG, Venessa SAVOY, Allyshia DALEY, Danika WOODBURN, Kyron AMOS and Owen AMOS; honorary grandchildren, Stephanie, Sueanne and Sophie; one great-great-grandson, Little Will WOODBURN; many nieces and nephews and several special friends.<br /> <br /> Besides her parents, and husband, Norma is predeceased by sisters, Barbara BRUCE, Elsie TAYLOR and Faye JARDINE; and one brother, Guy McKIBBON.<br /> <br /> The family will receive visitors at Meadows Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 4-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB, on Sunday at 3 pm with Pastor Tom Ettinger officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Boom Road, NB. Donations may be made to the NSER Alumni or the St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church.
