The death of Yvonne Marie (SHERRARD) TRITES wife of the late Vincent TRITES of Losier Hall and formerly of Strathadam, NB, occurred on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 80. Born in Boom Road, NB, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas “Jack” and Bernetta (WHITNEY) SHERRARD. Yvonne was a member of St. Philip’s United Church, Whitney and the North and South Esk Lionettes. Yvonne enjoyed gardening, baking, crafting, spending time with her family and her weekly coffee breaks with friends at the “Corner”. In her early years Yvonne worked at Inter City Truck Lines in Toronto. Upon her return to New Brunswick Yvonne assisted her husband, Vince, with running Esso oil home delivery service and later Petro Can.
Forever loved and greatly missed by daughter, Darla WILLISTON (Mark) of Red Bank, NB; one son, Alan of Bowden, AB; sister, Lorna CONNELL of Newcastle, NB; brother, Vernon SHERRARD of Boom Road, NB; grandchildren: Christia, Sasha, Evan, Tyson, Connor, Shalyn and Shauntay; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, and husband, Yvonne is predeceased by sisters, Minerva MURRAY (Aubrey) and Geraldine FITZPATRICK (Bill); brother, Russell (Reen) and Wilson.
The funeral service will be held from the St. Stephen’s United Church, Red Bank on Tuesday at 3 pm, with Rev. Geza Szemök officiating. Burial will take place in St. Philip’s United Church Cemetery later in the spring.
