The death of Louis Joseph DAIGLE, 67, of Baie Ste-Anne, occurred Saturday evening, Feb. 26, 1994, at Region 7 hospital, Chatham facility, following a lengthy illness. Born in Pointe Sapin, he was the son of the late Daseie and Celleste [DAIGLE] DAIGLE. He had attended St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne, and was a retired bricklayer.
He is survived by his common-law wife, the former Rosanna MARTIN; six step-daughters: Mrs. Stella AUBREY, of Baie Ste-Anne, Mrs. Louis CHIASSON [Marie], of Quebec, Mrs. Van JOHNSTON [Helen], of Fredericton, Mrs. Rejean GRAY [Doris], of Kouchibuguac, Mrs. Ola BOWERS, of Chatham, and Mrs. Maxim MARTIN [Elmire], of Escuminac; three step-sons: Israel McINTYRE, of Baie Ste-Anne, Marvin and Palcide McINTYRE, both of Fredericton; one brother, Moise DAIGLE, of St-Louis; and an uncle, Alphonse DAIGLE, of St-Louise; 33 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body rested at Ste-Annes Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne, from where funeral was held Tuesday, March 1, at 3 p.m., conducted by Father Yvon Arsenault.
Pallbearers were: Rejean GRAY, Patrick and Marven MARTIN, Israel McINTYRE, Van JOHNSTON, and Chris COFFEY.
Burial will be in Baie Ste-Anne Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Adams Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St., Newcastle.
