Mrs. Laura DAIGLE, 75, of Baie Ste. Anne, N.B., passed away on Monday, June 23, 1997 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emelie [GAUDIN] MARTIN. She was a homemaker and attended the Roman Catholic Church inBaie Ste. Anne.<br /> She is survived by two sons: Raymond, of Lower Sackville, N.S., Gerard, of Halifax; one daughter, Mrs. Jean MARTIN [Rosita], of Baie Ste. Anne; three brothers: David, of Baie Ste. Anne, George, of Richibucto, and Leonce MARTIN, of Bouctouche; four sisters: Mrs. David ROBICHAUD [Stella] and Mrs. Therese MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne, Mrs. Douglas LANDRY [Mary Ann] and Mrs. Nazaire SIPPLEY [Mina] of Halifax, N.S.; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.<br /> She is predeceased by her husband, Fred.<br /> The remains rested in the church slumber roon in Baie Ste-Anne. Mass of Christian burial was held in Baie Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church Wed., June 25, at 4 pm with Rev. Paul Arseneault officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Kenneth McINTYRE, Jean MARTIN, Francois ROBICHAUD, Torry HORN, Joey DAIGLE and Lorent MARTIN. Honorary pallbearers were: Rita DESPRES, Lorraine McINTYRE, Rose Marie McINTYRE, Antoinette McINTYRE, Claudette DAIGLE, Rosie HORN, Annette DAIGLE, Angelia DAIGLE, Thea MARTIN and Nancy DAIGLE.<br /> Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - July 1, 1997
