In loving memory of Elizabeth (Betty) Theresa ADAMS (née McKENZIE) who passed from this life on February 4th, at Miramichi Regional Hospital. She leaves her beloved husband of 34 years, Olin Peter ADAMS, and her two sons MacKenzie ADAMS and Zachary (Hannah) ADAMS.
Betty joined her parents Leo McKENZIE and Cecilia (BARRY) McKENZIE and her brother Ned McKENZIE in the next life.
She is survived by her treasured siblings: Frank, Guy, Clair, Mary, Helen, Anna, and Leah McKENZIE; and her many nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends.
Betty was born September 09, 1957, the youngest of nine, and spent her whole life surrounded by family on St. Agnes Street. Since graduating Oulton’s Business College, Betty worked at MacCallum’s Building Supplies for 48 years where she was cherished as family and will be dearly missed. Betty will be remembered by the many lucky family members, friends, and neighbours who will continue to be warmed by the love and care stitched into her beautiful, hand-knitted blankets, hats, and mittens. Betty loved animals, especially the cats that were brought into her family over the years, and her sons have inherited and nourished that love. She will be missed by her fuzzy family: Smokie, Amira, Jojo, Ruby, Lady, and Mabel.
The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi on Friday, February 9th, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church, Church Road, Eel Ground First Nation on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11 am, with Father Cornelius officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Percy’s Place or the SPCA. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Jardine Funeral Home and Miramichi Crematorium, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, NB. Telephone: 506-622-3600 or 506-622-7464. www.miramichifunerals.ca Funeral
