The death of Antoine Thomas DAIGLE, 66, of 477 Varrily Street, Bathurst, occurred Friday, Feb. 11, 1994, at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Hardwicke, he was the son of the late Edmond and Elmond [SCHOFIELD] DAIGLE. He was owner of Baie Ste-Anne Sea Foods and had been a member of the Roman Catholic Church, Bathurst.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janine ROY; two sons: Michael Hardwick and Paul, both of Moncton; one daughter, Mrs. Marco THIBODEAU [Julie], of Moncton; two brothers: Omer, of Montreal, Arthur, of Bowmanville, ON; three sisters: Mrs. Roger DUPUIS [Valina], of Jolette, QU, Mrs. John JIMMO [Yvonne], of Lindsay, ON, and Mrs. Simone DALEY McGRAW, of Miramichi; one granddaughter, Jessica, of Hardwicke; and one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body rested at Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham. Funeral mass was celebrated Monday at 3 p.m., at Baie Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Yvon Arseneault.
Active pallbearers were: Wilmond McINTYRE, Gaston MARTIN, Patrick MARTIN, Bertrand TURBIDE, Aquila MANUEL, and Douglas WILLISTON. Honorary pallbearers were: Louis PECEK, Kenneth GAMMON, Clovis ROY, Jim GALLIVAN, Donat TURBIDE, and Neri MARTIN.
Interment will be in the Hardwicke Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.
