Pup was a loving grandfather to Nicholas (Jennifer) FURLONG, Sarah (Brian) GILKS, Lockie (Chelsea) MUNN, Greg (Jenna) MUNN and Ashley (Andrew) WELTON; a loving great-grandfather to Jeremy (Sara) MUNN, Dalen FURLONG, Brayden GILKS, Kinley GILKS, Jaxon GALLANT, Brantley St. ONGE, Josie MUNN, Bruce FURLONG, Richard FURLONG, Andie WELTON, Adelyn MUNN and Jorja MUNN; gr-gr-grandfather to Sophia MUNN, Lennon MUNN and Opal MUNN. Melvin was a woodworker by trade. He enjoyed making axe handles which were known to be the best on the Miramichi. He could often be found sitting on the porch in his rocking chair watching the Miramichi flow by, listening to music, especially the fiddle which he played earlier in life. He was always up for an adventure with his “kids”.
Visitation will be at York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 6 - 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 2 pm.
