Alban J. DAIGLE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Thursday, March 6, 1986 at his home after a short illness. Born in Baie Ste Anne 41 years ago, he was a son of Alyre and Julia [TURBIDE] DAIGLE. He was an insurance agent and operated his own business in the community for the past five years.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Norma MARTIN; two daughters, Chantal and Marie-Josee, both at home; three brothers, Claude and Valmond, both of Moncton, and Patrice, of Baie Ste. Anne; a sister, Mrs. Wayne LLOYD [Fernande], of Baie Ste. Anne.
The body rested at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Sunday, March 9 with Rev. Alphonse Richard and Rev. Fidele LeBlanc as celebrants. Members of the Knights of Columbus of Baie Ste Anne and Girl Guides formed a Guard of Honor.
Honorary pallbearers were: Gilles SCHOFIELD, John T. DOUCET, Ronald MANUEL, Guy BOULAY, Edgar LeBLANC, Emilien DAIGLE, Marc THERIAULT, Marc MARTIN, Stephan DOUCET, Patrick SAVOIE, Rheal TURBIDE, Cyrille SIPPLEY, Kenneth DOUCET and Philip MANUEL. Active pallbearers were: Melvin DOUCET, Alphonse TURBIDE Jr., Zoel SAVOIE, Flavien DAIGLE, Pierre TURBIDE and Paul MARTIN.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.
