The death of John Howard ADAMS, of 7 Windy Ridge Drive, Scarborough, Ontario, occurred at the Scarborough General Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 1987 after a brief illness at the of 63. Mr. ADAMS was born in Hartland, NB, the son of the late Howard E. and Annie M. (DAVIS) ADAMS. He was a graduate of Hartland High School, a graduate of Acadia University, Wolfville, N.S. with a degree in Chemistry. After obtaining his degree he moved to Montreal and worked for Westeel Products for a few years and then with W. R. Grace Chemicals [Canada] with head office in Cambridge, Mass. He continued with Grace for 38 years in Montreal and Scarborough. Recently he was appointed General Sales Manager for Canada with the Company. He was a member of Washington United Church in Scarborough.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Fran DUNFIELD, of Saint John; two daughters: [Jane] Mrs. Gordon GRAHAM, of Barrie, Ont., (Dr. Susan) Mrs. James MacLEAN, of Markham, Ont.; one son, Dr. Howard ADAMS, of Windsor, Ont.; one sister, (Margaret) Mrs. Eric ROBIDOUX, of Shediac; one brother, E. Davis ADAMS, of Chatham; four grandchildren;, several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13 at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Scarborough with interment in Scarborough.<br /> <br /> Source: Northumberland News - January 21, 1987
