Escuminac - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cassie LLOYD, 17, accidently in Nelson on Sunday April 21, 2019. She was living at the family home in Escuminac. Born September 06, 2001, she was the daughter of Dean LLOYD and Pauline LLOYD.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Lexa from the family home; her little dog, Tica; her cousins: Macey LLOYD , Cody LLOYD, Sheena McINTYRE, Stacey McINTYRE, Stephanie McINTYRE and Aiden WALSH; and uncle, Dale ( late Paula ) McINTYRE; and aunt, Claudia McINTYRE; her maternal grandparents, Marie McINTYRE and Bernard McINTYRE; and maternal grandmother, Iona JIMMO; a great-grandmother, Dorilla MANUEL (late Prosper MANUEL); her Godmother, Liette LLOYD and Godfather, Paul LLOYD. She also leaves to mourn, many other aunts, uncles and many friends.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Donald LLOYD.
Cassie was a member of the graduating class of James M. Hill high school in Miramichi where she excelled academically. She dreamed of becoming a neurologist and was recently accepted at UNB. Cassie was a talented athlete, whether it was dance or gymnastics. She was also the Volleyball setter whether it was in her school or club teams. Her teammates describe her as an integral part of the team.
The family will receive parents and friends from 7 pm on Wednesday, April 24th at the Baie Ste Anne Parlour (located in the basement of the church). The funeral will be celebrated at St Anne RC Church, Baie Ste Anne on Friday, April 26th at 4 pm. Visiting hours, April 24th from 7 to 9 pm, Thursday, April 25th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Friday, April 26th from 2 pm until time of departure for the funeral.
In memory of Cassie, a donation to James M. Hill High School in Miramichi or the IWK Hospital Foundation in Halifax. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LaColumbe Funeral Cooperative Ltd of Tracadie. www.cooperativefunerairelacolombe.com
