It is with great sadness the family of Raymond DURELL announces his passing on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in his 73rd year. Born to Raymond and Marguerite DURELLE in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Ray was the oldest of five children.
Ray was predeceased by his father, Raymond DURELLE Sr.
He is survived by his spouse, Sylvia RANDELL; his three sons, Kye DURELL, Kasey DURELL of Whitehorse, Yukon. The oldest, Raymond DURELL III, of Edmonton (Kathy); grandchildren Natalie and Benjamin. Also left to mourn are his mother, Marguerite DURELLE; three brothers, Gilles (Kathy), Adrien (Gabe) and Buff (Bernice); and his little sister, Flo (Ron); (He always bragged about and was so very proud of her!), as well as his many nieces and nephews and their families all from the Moncton Baie Ste Anne area, the RANDELL family and many wonderful friends all over Canada! Ray "Soune" was a very talented Musician with an amazing voice. Soune spent the last 29 years in Whitehorse, Yukon. Although he loved the Yukon, his first love was his home province of NB. Every year he looked forward to going home to enjoy time on the ocean, fresh seafood, garden vegetables, festivals, time with his mother, family and friends. After retiring from the city of Whitehorse he spent his time doing what he enjoyed most, fishing and spending good times with friends and family. Gone but never forgotten. Gone to join his father to have wonderful meal of Quahogs.
As per Soune's wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. The son's will spread dad's ashes at later date.
