Mrs. Phoebe JENKINS DUPLESSIS passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on February 13, 2013 at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Miramichi, NB, at the age of 91. She was born in Eel River Bridge, NB.<br /> <br /> She is survived by four daughters: Shirley ROBINSON, Adeline (Patrick) JEPSON and Barbara Anne DUPLESSIS of Miramichi, NB, Theresa (Jake) DUPLESSIS of Fredericton, NB; and one son, Theodore DUPLESSIS Jr. of Fredericton, NB; also four sisters: Lorena (Bernard) BRENNAN of Miramichi, NB, Catherine (Harold) DURELLE of Baie Ste Anne, NB, Louisa (Gerry) MASON of Plainville, ON and Theresa (Nelson) ANGUS of Shawville, Quebec; and one half-brother, Oland (Beverly) SCHOFIELD of Charlottetown, PE. <br /> <br /> She was pre-deceased by her husband, Theodore Joseph DUPLESSIS; her son, LeRoy DUPLESSIS; her father, Donald JENKINS; mother, Barbara JENKINS SCHOFIELD; step-father, Eve SCHOFIELD; brothers, Robert JENKINS and Augustin JENKINS; and sisters, Donalda (Lou) THIBAULT and Viola (Anthime) MANUEL. She has 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> Phoebe DUPLESSIS rested at Maher’s Funeral Home, Miramichi, on Friday February 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service was celebrated on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1 pm from the FH Chapel with Fr. John Fraser officiating. <br /> <br /> Active pallbearers were: Matthew JENKINS, Jamie JENKINS, Tracey (Chopper) ROBINSON, Marc BALLAIN, Dean GALLANT and Stephen POULIOT. <br /> <br /> Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, NB.
