The very sad intelligence reached Mrs. Nellie CASSIDY early Tuesday morning of the death of her only child, her son, Wilson, in a hospital at Los Angeles, California, from poisoning. No particulars have yet been received and the shock has been a terrible one to his mother who had actually been looking forward to a visit he had proposed to Chatham. It is thought that the poisoning referred to in the telegram sent here from the hospital, may have resulted from some troubles he had been experiencing from his teeth, but no thing certain is known as yet.<br /> <br /> The late Mr. CASSIDY was 31 years of age, and besides his mother, there also survives in this town an aunt, Miss Tillie STEWART. <br /> <br /> He had a large number of friends on the Miramichi and in New Brunswick who will tender his mother their deepest regret, as he not only worked for some years in Chatham, but later made Moncton his headquarters while carrying on very successful work for a large manufacturing company. <br /> <br /> An effort is being made to get in touch with Los Angeles and have the remains brought to Chatham for burial. <br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - September 09, 1925
