The many friends of Mrs. John W. CAMPBELL will be grieved to hear of her death, which occurred suddenly Monday night of paralysis at her home, Queen Street. She had attended church Sunday evening and was around all day Monday and that evening in her usual health. About mid-night Mr. CAMPBELL was awakened by her heavy breathing. The other members of the family were summoned to their mother’s bedside, but she quietly passed away a few minutes later without regaining consciousness. Mrs. CAMPBELL had sustained a paralytic stroke about eight years ago, from the effect of which she has never fully recovered. Deceased who was well and favorably known in Chatham was 62 years of age.<br /> <br /> She is survived by her husband, one son, Fred at home; three daughters, Mrs. Watson TOUCHIE of Loggieville, Misses Ethel and Marguerite at home.<br /> <br /> Another son, Arthur, was killed in action, early in the World War.<br /> <br /> The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock and interment at Riverside Cemetery.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - July 28, 1920
